Michigan State
I believe that MSU will lose the first round tourney game in my backyard to Old Dominion in the worst building (DCU Center in Worcester MA) to ever host an NCAA tourney game. The Michigan State Spartans are coming into the game with a 22-6 record and zero wins over any good basketball teams. MSU lost a ton of games on the road this season including losses at Duke and at George Washington. This shows me that MSU is not battle tested and can be primed for a major upset by one of the better Mid-Major Teams in the country. ODU has not beaten anyone impressive this year besides beating St Joe's in December but this team can get it done in clutch situations. I just see the youth of this MSU team coming back to haunt them and thus giving ODU a good chance of winning.

As an MSU grad, the only meaningful win this year was at home versus Wisconsin. This team lead, by the athletic but soft seniors of Anderson, Torbert, and Hill has underacheived even with over 20 wins. Since everybody is picking the OD/MSU game as an upset special, I expect the Spartans to kill them. However, I don't think they will get past a tough Syracuse team.
All you have to do is pressure the turnover prone Point guards of Hill and freshman Neitzel to take down MSU.

you are the most naive person i have ever seen. "The youth of MSU"? Three of their starters are seniors (torbert, hill, anderson). THEY HAVE ONE FRESHMAN! DREW NEITZEL! you obviousely do not know much. to make matters worse, you contridicted yourself. "This shows me that MSU is not battle tested..." Funny how right before you typed that, you said they played Duke and George Washington. From what i hear, i would consider Duke the kindof team to give you a battle. Ok, you say "zero wins over any good basketball teams". i guess this means that your saying that Wisconson, UCLA, and minnesota arent good teams. im sorry but you really have to do more research before you submit your pathetic posts. are you for MU? i heard ann arbor was a whore.

Actually...I am a UNH(never been to the big dance in hoops) guy...Second, Wisconsin is a solid team but you can't think they are a big time squad. Third, MSU got knocked out by Nevada in the first round of the tournament. You can talk about Paul Davis all you want but I don't believe in the kids game. You need some outside shooters to win basketball games. I don't think MSU has them. Alan Anderson the team's MVP is averaging 13.6 ppg and 5.4 rebounds. I don't see it. Guess what if I am wrong...so was Digger Phelps!
How can you have 'tons' of losses on the road, while only losing 6 games. What are you talking about?

State's biggest problem is their toughness and lack-of-ice-cold-blood-thirsty-drive. If that makes sense. Izzo needs to recruit tougher players. Guys who are relentless every night on the court.

Now they have UVM....Since, I have seen Taylor Coppenrath and TJ Sorrentine in person WAY TOO MANY TIMES TO DISCUSS inclusing coppenrath scoring forty against UNH without even breaking a sweat. I believe MSU will kill UVM because I hate UVM but it will be a tough environment about 1.5 hours from Burlington.
