The Final Four is Set

After the first four rounds of the NCAA Tournament only four teams remain. Those four teams are Michigan State, North Carolina, Illinois, and Louisville.

The tournament so far has been crazy. Of the final four teams left, I think it is most suprising to see Michigan State and Louisville still playing. Michigan State got here by beating Duke in the Sweet Sixteen and then barely beating Kentucky in the Elite Eight(State also beat Vermont and ODU in the first two rounds). I am not a fan of Michigan State at all but they have played great to get this far. I give most of the credit to their head coach Tom Izzo. Izzo is one of the best college coaches of all time and as usual, he has done a fantastic job with the Spartans throughout this tournament. Louisville got here by beating La Lafayette, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, and number one seeded Washington. Most people were expecting North Carolina and Illinois to make it this far so I am not very suprised that they are in the Final Four.

My predictions for the final four is that North Carolina will beat Michigan State and that Illinois will beat Louisville. I think State is good but I don't think they are good enough to contend with North Carolina; however, I never expected them to beat Duke and they did. Illinois is just too strong for Louisville and I think Illinois will easily beat them.
Comments:
Agreed...Tom Izzo has done a fantastic job of coaching this team in the NCAA tourny after that devastating loss to Iowa in the Big Ten Tourny.

He's been criticized all year for his program in decline and this validates him especially by beating both Duke and Kentucky in the same weekend.
